Good Wednesday Parents and Students,

October is going to be very busy at Champion with our 23rd Anniversary Testing coming up. Belt Testing will be broken down and done over the course of the last week. Here’s a breakdown of all the important dates you need to know about this upcoming month:

Wednesday October 12th – Day Camp is scheduled (Pinellas public schools are closed). If you need Day Camp for your child that day, please inform after school staff.

Saturday October 15th – Jr. Instructor Training 9:00 am. Please have your Belt Testing papers turned in by this day as well. Download your testing papers and study sheets under the heading BELTS here at www.championtaekwondo.net

Saturday October 22nd – Fitness Testing 9:00 am for all Bo-Black and Black Belt students (this is mandatory). Color Belts are welcome to participate but are not required as a part of their upcoming belt test.

Monday / Tuesday October 24th and 25th – Form Testing for all belts. A student need only test once, so if you or your child typically take class on Monday, you or they can expect to form test that day and will not need to be tested Tuesday. If Tuesday is your class day, you will not need to take class Monday.

Wednesday / Thursday October 26th and 27th – Sparring Testing for all advanced students (Green Belts and above). Students need only test once just like Form Testing.

Friday October 28th – Breaking Testing. All students must break. Candle ceremony (only for new Black Belts) 7:00 pm.

Saturday October 29th – 23rd Anniversary Testing 2:00 pm. All students should attend (even those not testing). No classes at Champion. Students will Basic Motion Test. New Belts will be awarded to passing students at the ceremony. Students please arrive at NCS GYM by 1:50 pm. All students, even those not testing, are required to wear their white uniform. A group picture will be taken at 4:00 pm. Northside Christian School Gymnasium is located at 7777 62nd Ave N. St. Petersburg.

Monday October 31st – Halloween No TKD Classes at Champion. After School Care will be in session.

That’s the Fall Monty for October. Testing week will be eventful and exciting, so if you have any questions, please feel free to call, email, or stop in the office. Be sure to check the number of classes taken on your student card to see if there are enough for your required test. You or your child are welcome to come to additional classes to make up any if needed. We’d like to make this a smooth, successful week for all students!

Looking forward to the spooOooky days of October,

Amy
